Greetings! My name is Nathan. I am a native of Napa, California and currently live in Pittsburg, CA. I have a Bachelors degree in International Relations and a Master's degree in Cross-cultural Teaching. I currently work as a 4th grade teacher and am a student of the sword. I have been interested in the sword for as long as I can remember. As a child I would often dream of being a knight and wielding a sword in ancient times. However, the only outlet I had for my desire was play fighting in the backyard and watching movies such as the Highlander. As I got older I explored the idea of fencing but it never seemed quite right for me. Then as luck would have it I found my way to the Western Circle. I was surprised and delighted to find the art form alive and well, and knew I had to be a part of it. In my brief time within the Western Circle I have met many honorable warriors and am proud to call them my friends. Difficile est tenere quae acceperis nisi exerceas.
